How you may use the diagrams you create with Figviz, for teaching and for commercial work.
2026/06/20
The short version: anyone can make diagrams with Figviz for personal study and classroom teaching. Commercial use is reserved for paid accounts, accounts that have purchased credits. Free generations keep the Figviz watermark and may not be sold or distributed beyond your own classroom.
Figviz helps educators create clear visuals for lessons, labs, assessments, and resources. This policy sets out what you may do with the diagrams you generate. It works together with our Terms of Service.
Because Figviz is pay-as-you-go, a paid account is simply one that has purchased a credit pack. There are no subscription tiers. Commercial rights below attach to paid accounts.
| What you want to do | Free | Paid |
|---|---|---|
| Slides, handouts, and LMS posts for your own students | ✅ | ✅ |
| Sell curriculum bundles, worksheets, or courses | ❌ | ✅ |
| Market a tutoring business or paid PD course | ❌ | ✅ |
| District-wide rollout, textbook inclusion, or public websites | ❌ | ✅ |
| Share diagrams with other teachers for free | ❌ | ✅ (recipients can't resell without their own license) |
Breaking these rules may lead to suspension without a refund.
Attribution is optional for paid accounts but always welcome (for example, "Made with Figviz"). Free accounts must leave the watermark in place whenever a diagram leaves their own lesson-prep workspace.
If you believe a Figviz diagram infringes your rights:
We may update this policy as the Service evolves; the current version is always on this page. Licensing questions go to contact@figviz.com.
