Scope

Figviz helps educators create clear visuals for lessons, labs, assessments, and resources. This policy sets out what you may do with the diagrams you generate. It works together with our Terms of Service.

What "Paid" Means

Because Figviz is pay-as-you-go, a paid account is simply one that has purchased a credit pack. There are no subscription tiers. Commercial rights below attach to paid accounts.

Your Rights by Account Type

Free accounts (no purchase yet)

• Commercial use: not allowed.
• You may: use diagrams for your own study, for teaching your own students, and for sharing inside your school's LMS for evaluation.
• You must: keep the Figviz watermark on the image, and you may not sell, bundle, or hand the diagrams to people outside your own classroom.

Paid accounts (purchased credits)

• Commercial use: granted.
• You may: generate watermark-free diagrams and use them in paid curriculum, tutoring materials, marketplace listings (e.g., TpT or district portals), and public-facing marketing.
• Per educator: a standard license covers one educator. School- or district-wide deployment needs a separate written agreement, contact us.
• Diagrams stay licensed: images you generated while your account was in good standing remain usable under the rights that applied at the time you created them.

Ownership & Your Responsibilities

• You keep the rights to the diagrams you create, within the limits above.
• Figviz does not train its models on your prompts or generated images.
• You are responsible for not prompting for material you don't have rights to (logos, copyrighted characters, etc.) and for reviewing each diagram before you publish or show it.

Things You May Not Do (any account)

• Generate content that is unlawful, hateful, discriminatory, or harmful to students.
• Try to extract, copy, or expose how the underlying technology works.
• Resell access to Figviz or present the Service as your own platform.
• Use diagrams to mislead anyone about safety-critical procedures.

Breaking these rules may lead to suspension without a refund.

Attribution

Attribution is optional for paid accounts but always welcome (for example, "Made with Figviz"). Free accounts must leave the watermark in place whenever a diagram leaves their own lesson-prep workspace.

Reporting Infringement

If you believe a Figviz diagram infringes your rights:

1. Email contact@figviz.com with the image, the prompt if known, and your ownership claim.
2. We review and respond within two business days.
3. Confirmed infringements are removed, and the responsible account may be suspended.
