Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Figviz ("Figviz," "we," or "us") handles information when you use figviz.com and the Figviz application. By using Figviz, you agree to the practices set out here.

What We Collect

You give us:

• Your name and email address when you create an account.
• Optional details such as your subject area or school, if you choose to share them.
• The prompts and settings you enter to generate diagrams, and the images you generate.

Created automatically when you pay:

• Your credit purchase and balance status.
• A transaction reference from our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number.

Created automatically as you use the Service:

• Basic device and browser information, approximate region from your IP address, and a session token that keeps you signed in.
• Limited logs used to diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve quality.

We are built for educators, not students. Please do not put student names or other student personal information into prompts.

Why We Use It

• To provide and operate the Service and your account.
• To track credit balances and apply purchases.
• To answer your support messages and send necessary service notices.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security problems.
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We may produce aggregated, anonymized statistics (for example, which subjects are most popular) to guide product decisions. Aggregated data cannot be traced back to you.

Our Models

Figviz does not use your prompts or generated images to train its models. Service providers that help us generate or store images are contractually limited to delivering the Service and may not use your content to train their own public models.

When We Share

We share information only with:

• Payment processor, to take payments and issue receipts.
• Sign-in provider, to log you in securely.
• Infrastructure providers, to host the app and store images, under the model-training restriction above.
• Authorities or advisors, when required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your data.

How Long We Keep It

• Account information: while your account is active.
• Generated diagrams: kept so you can access them, until you delete them or close your account.
• Payment records: retained as long as tax and accounting rules require.
• Logs: typically a few months, longer only if needed for a security investigation.

You can ask us to delete your account and its contents (some records, such as invoices, must be kept for compliance).

How We Protect It

We use encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored diagrams, access controls, and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure, if you suspect a problem with your account, contact us immediately.

Your Choices

• See and update your account details in your settings.
• Export a copy of your prompts and diagrams on request.
• Delete your account by emailing us.
• Opt out of optional product emails using the unsubscribe link; we'll still send essential service messages.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand feature use. See our Cookie Policy for details and controls.

Children

Figviz is intended for educators, not for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy over time. The current version is always on this page with its effective date; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
